Extremely helpful

I was extremely surprised at how good this app is. The games are fun.

Yeah right.

Played through the free game. You have to memorize the words on your own from a review page with no help from the app at all, then play a mini game to match the words. The hell am I reviewing? I havent even learned anything! Theres seriously no help from the app other than pressing on the word to hear how its pronounced. The rest is up to you.

Great way to start learning Mandarin!

If you want learn the fun way, then check out this app ( first lesson is free)! Sometimes I am forgetting that I am studying because there a are many fun games to choose from. You can customize your lessons by focusing on what YOU want to learn first. I did not give this app five stars because there is only one game for tones and error recognition. So far this app is worth the money.

Problem >.>

I first downloaded the app and was satisfied with it, I made an account learned my numbers, then proceeded to buy the whole entire app. However I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 6. I re downloaded the the app and lost ALL of my work, points, and most importantly my access to all of the lessons, if you guys would install or put in a "restore my purchase" somewhere that would be great instead of linking the money with an account someone would most likely forget.

Mandarin

Bought the apps mandarin add on but did not fulfill my purchase while I was charged...1 star

This is ok

I mean it helped me learn numbers but after I completed learning numbers the app said that I needed to buy more lessons which is stupid. For youre information never get this app

Purchased all the lessons for mandarin...never received them

Great app!

Amazing!

I bought the full access version so I have all the languages they have to offer to play. Im currently learning Chinese Mandarin and Japanese. So much fun and Ive learned so much! I didnt have a problem when I downloaded the full access version everything updated fine. Great apps!

Please add support for traditional characters

Thanks

I like it

I really do like this app a lot. The games are fun, the words and phrases give are very useful, and I feel like Im learning a lot. However, I think I few simple things would really improve it: The ability to select individual words from multiple lessons to create a personal list of words youd like to review An option for traditional Chinese characters Better pronunciation- some of the words are pronounced incorrectly Other than that, its a great app

Awesome

Im Chinese and this is a good app from my point of view

Wish I could afford the full version!

What I played was great. Well polished, clean feeling app. Fun and addictive with lots of nice visuals and sounds. Enjoyed learning with it. Unfortunately, I cant afford the full expansion.

Needs Writing

This app is wonderful, but needs writing

Outstanding

This is a clever, engaging, and polished game. I am learning fast. Well worth the price!

Need to support older generation devices

Purchased this 2 years ago and I use it quite a bit. So much so that my son, 5 years old loves the games and learns his mandarin tones before school!! Great app although not compatible for older itouchs operating software other than the new ios7 Shame. Not all of us can afford a NEW device that supports latest software.. especially a 5 year old..

Awesome but needs traditional!

App is great. Some of the words are pronounced incorrectly, but the sounds and games are great! I am learning Mandarin to go to Taiwan and I need the traditional characters please!

Simple, fun, and effective

This app is VERY organized and lets you learn by playing games. I liked it so much that I got the full version, and Im really satisfied.

Great App!

Honestly loved it

A warning about tone sandhi

Overall a great app, but there is one thing to be aware of that caused me a lot of frustration at first and it isnt the creators fault. Tone sandhi arent normally reflected in pinyin so when you play Galactic you may think your ears are lying to you. For example, 你好 is written in pinyin as nǐ hǎo but its actually pronounced ní hǎo. The game expects you to answer with 3rd tone even though the speaker is correctly using the 2nd tone when she says it. This kind of defeats the purpose of testing your ears with this game but it helps you learn correct pinyin so its not necessarily bad.
